What to know before your appointment
What is refacing?
Meeting with our sales staff is the first step to your new kitchen. Deciding on the details such as wood type, color, style of door etc.is the beginning phase. Signature will take it from that point, with the process taking around 3-5 days. Our crews will be scheduled to first remove your old doors, drawer faces and drawer boxes as well as any existing trim on your cabinets. Your existing cabinet boxes will then be sanded to prep them for our furniture grade veneer, to make the best possible surface to adhere to. Once your doors and drawers are manufactured at the state of the art Quality Doors facility they will be placed on with our three way adjustable and removable hinges. Next, your new drawers and drawer boxes with be installed with our easy glide drawer slides. Finally, we will apply all your trim and conceal any nails used during installation. All that is left is to enjoy your new cabinets which cost about half the price of new custom cabinets.

The refacing, depending on the size of the kitchen, takes 2-5 days. Our crews stay on the job until completion, with breaks only for lunch.
How long does a refacing project take from your decision to go with SHI?
Refacing takes about 6 to 8 weeks from the decision. SHI must order the doors, which takes 4 to 6 weeks to arrive, and then will schedule your installation at a time that is most convenient for the customer.
Signature home improvements sells and installs several different kinds of counter tops:
Granite – levels 1-3 are the majority of the levels to choose from, with 1 being the most affordable. Just because granite is a level one does not mean it is an inferior product. All granite colors have the same characteristics. Granite is heat resistant, stain resistant and one of the more durable surfaces, with little maintenance. Many customers are concerned with having to seal granite. Granite, being a natural stone, is slightly porous and requires sealing about once a year. The sealing process takes less that 15 minutes and can be done by the customer.
Silestone- there are 5 level of Silestone A-E with A being the most affordable and E being special order colors. All Silestone levels and colors have the same qualities including: stain resistance, scratch resistance and heat resistance. Silestone is made from 93% quartz and 7% resins and comes in a very large variety of colors. The warranty for Silestone is 10 years and is transferable during that time.
How long from the time I decide on counter tops until they are installed?
From the time you chose your surface the process takes between 2-3 weeks.
