Fine Bathroom Remodeling

by cindymarrs at Citysearch                          03/27/12

Jason Flippo and Signature replaced a tub with a walk-in tiled barrier-free shower. From start to finish they were the most responsive, pleasant remodelers we have ever hired. Their office personnel: Heather, Mimi, and the others, are very pleasant on the phone and extremely efficient. The workers on the job are similarly polite and pleasant to work with and do fine work: Joe the plumber, Venturo the all-around helper and finisher, Armanzo the job engineer, and the tiler, who was a perfectionist! We would recommend this company without reservation and use them again.

Kitchen Remodel

We had a wonderful experience with SHI. They installed new granite countertops and backplash as well as a new kitchen sink. They helped with design ideas, were very professional and finished the job on schedule and with no issues. We plan to use SHI in the future and will refer family and friends.

Very satisfied customer

by Mehrdad Setayesh at Citysearch                         03/18/12

This was our first Kitchen and bathroom remodeling since we build the house 14 years ago. Signature Home Improvement (SHI) Staff were very cordial, professional and knowledgeable. In addition, prices were very competitive

In the very beginning, they were always willing to accomodate our busy schedule by meeting us late in the evenings to review our requirements before providing the quote.

Once the project started, they showed up everyday on time and at the end of each day they called to provide the schedule for next day.

But the thing that I enjoyed the most about SHI staff was their flexibility to meet last minute changes either requested by us or due to unforeseen events. It didn’t matter what the issue was, one of their full-time professional staff was able to fix it.

We didn’t know what to expect as we started the project but they continuously provided us with guidance and allowed us to make the final decisions.

My wife and I definitely recommend this company to whoever is interested in using their services.

Quality Remodeling Projects

by David149 at Citysearch                               03/18/12

Signature Home Improvements remodeled  our kitchen recently. We are very pleased with the whole process and the completed work. Each step was properly communicated and performed. Everybody involved in the process is a company employee which enhances the expectations of the customer. Each person performed at a high level of competence and it is all done with a great, positive attitude. Scheduling is a breeze and each person showed up as scheduled, performed his work and cleaned up before leaving. The office staff of Mimi, Heather and Savannah were outstanding! One of them was in contact with us each day so that we were completely informed of all aspects of the work as it progressed. While we do compliment each worker we would especially like to recognize Tomas (granite: from measuring, to design & cutting, to installation of the countertops; Martin (tile installation. Our friend, who is a tile installer, complimented his work); Sergio (electrician. He went out of his way to find the under-cabinet lighting that we desired) and Armonzo (foreman) who would not let anything pass inspection without his approval. There is so much quality product and work that it is hard to single out individual steps. Rather than doing the minimum written into the contract each worker gave added value to their part of the project. Such as Joe (plumbing) who cleaned up the “can of worms” under-sink drain lines so that we actually can utilize the space. As with any remodeling project there were some surprises. They were all handled fairly & with a minimum of concern. This company offers a quality product, work done with pride and a fair price to boot! I should not neglect to mention Jason, who is the company president. He came to our house, gave us good suggestions, wrote the proposal and followed through to the end. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHI FOR REMODELING WORK!

Excellent Customer Service

by CCfletcher at Citysearch                           03/14/12

I have worked with Signature on 4 different projects around my house: 2 bathroom remodels, a kitchen remodel and replacement of hardwood flooring. Every project has been a painfree experience where I got excellent service and qualityat a fair price. The best part about this company is that they clearly put making the customer happy at the top of their priorities. This attitude permeates from the owner to the craftsmen to the office staff. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in a kitchen or bath remodel.

A+++ Service

by rmav73 at Citysearch                          03/07/12

We used SHI for a kitchen upgrade. The upgrade included installing granite countertops and refinishing all the kitchen cabinets, and updating the plumbing fixture. Everyone working for the company is FANTASTIC from the girls in the office to the the plumber who hooked up the new faucet. They kept in contact with us by phone on a daily basis to let us know progress made and what would be occurring the next day. We were so impressed with how neat and clean our house was at the end of each day. They vacuumed up all dust and debris before they left each day. They even swept my kitchen floor! SHI was patient with us answering all our questions. We anticipated this job to take a little over a week and they were in and out in 3 days! We had a beautiful kitchen at the end of the third day! We cannot express how pleased with are with the new kitchen and the professionalism of SHI. Would we use them again for future remodeling projects? ABSOLUTELY!

Master Bath Remodel

by bcozart25 at Citysearch                   03/06/12

SHI did a master bathroom remodel for us in January 2012. The remodel included: granite countertops, re-finishing of all cabinetry, tile floors, complete new shower, and all the plumbing hardware. The shower included new tiles walls, frameless glass doors, decorative tile band, and granite corner shelves. We were very pleased with the time of the remodel. SHI completed the project in about 3 weeks. They were very good at cleaning at the end of each work day. We got everything we wanted in our new bathroom with the budget we had to work with. SHI had excellent communcation throughout the project. We will definitley contact them again for future bath and kitchen remodels.

Very Happy

by TXopossumgirl at Citysearch                    02/24/12

SHI recently completed an upgrade project on our kitchen. They installed granite countertops, new tile backsplash, a built-in desk with an new overhead cabinet, under cabinet lighting, and some interior cabinet amenities. They also freshened up our pantry. Upon us being ready for work to begin, the project took off quickly. Within a few days, the entire project was complete except some final touch-ups and we were INCREDIBLY pleased with the work, the daily communication, and the pleasant disposition of the employees. Unfortunately, one of the employees did not re-hook the dishwasher up properly and we belatedly discovered that our laminate floor was destroyed by water seeping in beneath. Because of so many bad experiences in the past, I did extensive research on whom we would hire for this work in order to increase the likelihood that, should something go wrong, we would be properly taken care of and WE WERE! Immediately, SHI took ownership of the mistake and promised to make it right. Unfortunately, we were not able to replace the same flooring due to unavailability and so they offered an upgraded tile floor. We were able to choose the tile we wanted, and now have a beautiful procelain floor that really enhances the work that they had already done. It is unfortunate when things go wrong, but we all make mistakes. What makes a good company is one that takes an error and converts it into a loyal customer. We not only recommend SHI to anyone, but also we plan to have them remodel our master bath later this year.

Our Dream Kitchen

by mrsmccormick at Citysearch                          02/20/12

We had a complete kitchen remodel done by SHI. They made our cabinetry, installed granite and backsplash, made us an L-shaped breakfast nook that includes storage, painted the walls and the ceiling, added recessed lighting and new electrical outlets. We had such a wonderful experience working SHI. They were professional, timely and did high quality work. Jason came to our home before creating the initial bid. After we received the bid, he invited us to the SHI offices/shop to see how they work. We really weren’t sure which contractor to choose, but once we went to the shop and saw the quality of the cabinetry we were sold. They make all their own cabinetry which gives you great flexibility. Once we signed the contract, Armanzo came to our home to do more measurements and discuss our kitchen design. He created the drawings within 2 days. He also gave us some great ideas we hadn’t considered, some of which are my favorite features in the kitchen! We worked with their recommended vendors for our granite and backsplash and it was a positive experience with both of them. SHI moves very quickly. They did our drawings right before the New Year and started demolition the last week in January. Once they started in our home, the entire job was finished in 3 weeks. Someone from SHI was at our home every day progressing on the project. Every single employee that came to our home was friendly, respectful and professional. As we progressed through the project, there really were any surprises. The work was true to the bid and when we requested something a little different than initially specified in the bid, they worked with us on the price too. The employees showed up on time every day and the office staff at SHI communicated with us if anything unexpected happened. They also let us know what work would happen each day and if we needed to provide something (garbage disposal, faucet, etc.). I think what makes SHI unique is that they employ everyone who works on your home. There are no sub contractors. This gave me great piece of mind and really keeps everything on schedule. We really could not have asked for a better experience for a kitchen remodel. We would have Signature Home Improvements complete another project for us with no hesitations. Our kitchen is amazing and really exceeds our expectations.

SHI Strives for Customer Satisfaction

by tburna at Citysearch                           02/12/12

We hired Signature Home Improvement to demo our existing walk-in shower down to the studs and replace with natural tumbled travertine stone tile and frameless glass shower enclosure. Everything went flawlessly from start to finish. Received initial visit from Signature Home Improvement representative to preview the project and answer questions. Received email with description of work and cost breakdown for the project.

Met with our SHI representative at the tile supplier to select the travertine stone for the surround and visited SHI office to sign the contract. SHI demo team tented the adjoining bedroom furniture and constructed a heavy duty paper walkway from the front door to the bathroom worksite. The worksite was cleaned up at the end of each workday. Members of the demo team, plumbers, fiberglass worker, tile installer, painter, shower glass installers, etc., were all very courteous, neat and respectful of our home.

SHI phoned at the end of each workday to inquire how things went and to answer any questions. All workers arrived on time when SHI said they would be there and worked diligently to complete the work. The craftsmanship of the tile work is awesome. We are very happy with the finished project.

Signature Home Improvements Kitchen and bathroom renovations

by FredH398 at Citysearch                            02/12/12

I used Signature for a couple of small projects and they did great. They wqere excellent. Now I’m using them for all my future project including a kitchen backsplash redo and a master bathroom redo.

Home Renovation done right

by ne0t0ky0 at Citysearch                               02/11/12

We went to SHI with a vision of a new kitchen and hardwoods in our house and now we have it.

At our house we had quite a bit of work done. We replaced our countertops with granite, a new undermount sink, backsplace replaced, new tile floors in the kitchen, all cabinets and drawers painted, all of the main walls painted and hardwood flooring and baseboards installed in nearly every room in the house.

The material selection was a breeze and once that was complete, everything was in motion. The countertops were removed and replaced with a nice selection we found at one of the SHI vendor suggestions, all in one day. The backsplash was installed and then grouted the next day. The painters came and repaired some cracks and holes in the drywall and then painted all of the rooms.

Then our old kitchen flooring was demo’ed and removed along with removing all of our existing cabinet doors and draws which got taken to the SHI office to be sanded and painted like new cabinets. After installing the flooring in the kitchen they prepared the kitchen cabinets to be painted with the same high gloss cab-acrylic paint. We had some molding and trim installed on the top to raise the height (a suggestion by SHI) and it worked dramatically well. They look like brand-new cabinets.

After the kitchen was done they tackled the rest of the job which was a large amount of hardwood flooring. They were installing nearly 1400 sqft of flooring so after a number of weeks we were ready to be done, but the results are just amazing. New hardwoods, new baseboards, caulking, touch ups, every detail we needed addressed was handled.

The staff in the office are excellent; any time we needed information or any attention they were a email or phone call away. The workmen were excellent tradesmen and women who knew how do to great work and had pride in everything they did. One look at our house now and you can tell SHI has an awesome team dedicated to making your home renovation come out better than you imagined.

Exactly what we wanted, fantastic company to work with

by shogg at Citysearch                            01/11/12

We had SHI install granite countertops and an electrical outlet in our kitchen.

First we had a sales person come out to our home to take a look at our kitchen and give us a price for the countertops we wanted. While he was there we also asked him about our cabinets as we were looking to do something to update them around the same time. He gave us a quote to do the work for us but also gave us a lot of information and tips about doing it ourselves (which is what we ended up doing). As he inspected the kitchen he also noticed that we didn’t have an electrical outlet for an over-the-range microwave and said that they could install one for us. I guess good sales people are always looking for an “upsell” but I didn’t get that feeling at all — him noticing the lack of an outlet saved us frustration later on and his tips on DIY for the cabinets were honest and gave us confidence he cared more about the relationship than squeezing a few extra dollars out now.

The price he quoted us per square foot seemed high at first but I was pleased to learn that it included everything (demolition, edging, a stainless undermount sink, hooking up the plumbing after installing the sink, etc.). The other people I talked to about countertops advertise a lower cost but then charge extra for all the (necessary) “extras”.

We ended up just going with the granite at which point Mickey (our sales guy) met us at their office to show us their facilities and to begin looking at stones. We didn’t care for any of the exotic level 2 and 3 stones they had left over from other jobs (that they offered to us at level 1 prices) but found something we liked at a local granite distributor. After we picked our stone we wrote SHI a check for half the project cost.

The next day an electrician came to install the outlet. He was on-time, quick and efficient.

The next day we received a call from the office saying that the granite guys wouldn’t need the full day to install and was it OK if they came around 12? It was. They were waiting for to get home from work at 12:10 and were done by 3:30 or so.

The day after that their plumber came by to install the faucet and garbage disposal I had provided. Once he was done (again, on-time and no fuss) I asked him how you were supposed to install a dishwasher under the granite. He said normally you would fix a piece of wood under the countertop and screw into that — he then got on the phone to the office and arranged for a carpenter to come out and do so for us. I’m not sure if was a miscommunication between myself and the granite installers and should have been done earlier or just a favor based on my question but either way I’m happy with the result.

We were really impressed with the communication. While some of the workers weren’t the most talkative (at least not in English), I felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing and that the girls in the office were keeping everyone in the loop with regards to the schedule and who would be showing up when and to do what.

I realize I sound like an ad but I was happy with the service and am happy to recommend SHI. I’m sure there are cheaper alternatives but I value the confidence that comes from working with a company that values their reputation (I mentioned I found them through online reviews and they did ask me to review them).

Signature does great work

by wyojaybee at Citysearch                             01/01/12

We used Signature on a partial bathroom remodel. They converted a walk-in shower to a shower/tub combo, tiled the bath area and removed and remolded an outdate built-in vanity. We loved their work. Their estimate was well priced and we feel like we got great value for what we paid for. Their work was extremely well done. Their office staff particularly impressed me by calling each day to report on progress and receive our feedback. When we hit a small snag with one of their employees’ tardiness, they immediately put a new person on the job that was amazing. We’d definitely work with them again and recommend them highly.

Professionally Remodeled Kitchen!

by Thomas8583 at Citysearch                                 12/27/11

We are very satisfied with the remodeling of our kitchen by Signature Home Improvements. I would give the customer service and installation services an A+. Awesome job!

The lower cabinets in our kitchen were refaced and the upper cabinets were replaced. You cannot differentiate the refaced ones from the replaced ones.

After paying for my own design drawings and obtaining a very competitive bid from another company, Jason was able to beat the quote and provide additional design options.

My family and I will continue to recommend Signature Home Improvements.

Great Customer Service!

by Gira B at Citysearch                          12/23/11

I had a lot of work on my house that I have been putting off for a while, so I finally decided to get someone to do it. Jason Flippo came to my house to do my estimate, and he listened to my thoughts and had a lot of good suggestions. I liked Jason from our first meeting, and felt confident that his team would listen to my concerns and do a good job. He had an estimate ready the following day. We met later to finalize a written contract detailing all the work that was to be done which included granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, new kitchen sink and faucet, kitchen cabinet refacing (new doors and drawers), tile backsplash in kitchen, recessed lighting in kitchen, tile floor installation, new 3 inch baseboards, scraping popcorn off ceiling, re-texturizing and painting of ceiling, painting the walls, new bathtub installation with new tile surround, new lighting in bathroom, new sink, and new plumbing fixtures for bathroom sink and tub/shower combo.

I was assigned a project coordinator named Linda who was my point of contact and was in charge of scheduling all the work to be done at my house. As the work went along, we did make some additions to the original contract. She was extremely responsive in answering all my questions, getting the new quotes back to me, and updating the contract in writing.

At any point a different team of professionals was at my house working on a different aspect of the project. The painting team arrived first to scrape the popcorn off my ceiling, re-texturize, and re-paint. They were later followed by an electrician, plumbers, tile layers, carpenters, and a granite specialist. I was glad to know that each part of the job was being done by specialists. While the painters were working on the ceiling, I was working on picking out my paint colors, floor tiles, backsplash design, granite, plumbing fixtures, cabinet stain, etc. I was overwhelmed, and Jason met me at the tile store to help with the design of the remodel of kitchen and bathroom.

The team was extremely efficient and well-scheduled. The project took about a month to complete, and there was only one day where someone was not working on my house.

Overall, I was very happy with the quality of work.

After everything was done, I realized that my dishwasher was not attached to the counter like it had been before. I called them and they came out to assess the situation. It took a few days, but it was fixed.

I have had a couple of other minor issues, and they have been very responsive to come out and fix everything that I have called about.

I felt like I could have had this work done for less money, but I paid more for quality workmanship, responsiveness, and customer service.

Great Company to Work With!

by Katherine Wade at Citysearch                        12/14/11

After 8 years of looking at white formica and white backsplash, I finally bit the bullet and called Signature. They have done lots of work in my neighborhood and I went down the street and looked at a kitchen they had done for an acquaintance. Really nice work- so I called for someone to come out and give me a bid. Jason, the owner, came out within a couple of days to take a look and I had a bid the next day. The amazing thing to me was how quickly they could put me on the schedule- within 2 weeks!! So I had to hurry up and make my selections and we were good to go. It is not that they don’t have many jobs to do that enabled the quick service, but because they DO have lots of projects always going, keeping their crews working. NO subcontractors! Their crews are very professional, on time and do great work. They have a VERY efficient office staff who communicate with you daily and always have a prompt answer for any question or concern. I have read reviews by others that Signature is more expensive than other firms. If this is so, it is not by much and definitely worth every penny to deal with such a professional group. We had granite countertops, travertine backsplash, new sink and faucet and undercabinet lighting installed….in 5 days!!! I’m sure Signature will have more work in my neighborhood since I have already had many inquiries by my neighbors. A great company!

Great work & great customer service!!

by SuzanneH665 at Citysearch                        12/13/11

This remodel of our master bathroom was our first experience, and could have been a disaster, but it was such a good experience that I’m ready to do it again! Jason Flippo listened to what we needed and made suggestions to make it even better. All the workers (SHI employees, not subcontractors!) were professional, friendly and helpful. The office staff were helpful, calling daily to update us on progress andlet us know what was happening next. I’d definitely reccommend them to anyone!

Highly Recommend!

by bella2112 at Citysearch                    12/08/11

SHI remodeled our kitchen and master bath, and we couldn’t be more pleased. What sold is on this company was its reputation (and its use of employees versus a ton of subcontractors), and we were happy before, during, and after the remodel. Everyone in the office and on the job was respectful, helpful, professional, and courteous. We knew what to expect each step of the way, and there were no surprises or hidden costs at the end of the job. It almost seemed too easy! We made our selections of materials, and they handled everything else, making for a very stress-free experience for us.

The only thing that we would do over is to be extremely explicit in what we wanted done on the original quote – get every little thing on there. Not having done remodeling before, we were unaware of how important this was, but we had some minor corrections along the way and SHI was great about working these into the overall job.

We were very pleased with the results (beautiful!!), have recommended them to friends, and will use them in the future.

A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

by Randy Daugherty at Citysearch                      12/04/11

Signature Home Improvements owner, Jason Flippo, personally came out to inspect and submit a bid. He was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. He told us exactly what we needed, what steps would be taken and exactly what they would do and what we needed to do. We were impressed because there were no surprises. Horror stories that we have heard about remodeling are endless. Jason and his crew were professional, friendly and meticulous. The job was completed on time and well done. Follow-up was immediate and precise. Signature Home Improvements staff from beginning to end were delightful to work with and helpful in every way. I would recommend this company to friends and family.

Quality Work and Great Employees

by Brian S from Austin at Citysearch                     11/28/11

I used Signature to complete a total remodel of my master bath and a partial remodel of both my guest bath and kitchen. After a lot of research, I went with Signature due to their ability to manage every aspect of the job. Using other services in the past, it is a nightmare trying to juggle multiple contractors at once. Signature made this a breeze as all i had to do was work with one person for all of the remodel activities.

Signature was a pleasure to work with from the start. Jason was very open and helpful in providing advice and suggestions as to what I would be able to accomplish with the budget and time I allotted for the project. The quote process was easy and Jason did not push me to make a decision before i was ready.

Once the project got underway Savannah was great. She called me every day to provide me with a status update on what was completed and the list of items that were going to be addressed the remainder of the week. Everyone i dealt with along the way was pleasant, respectful and mindful of my schedule

The process of selecting the tile was easy as i used one of Signature’s recommended vendors. They were patient and honest and guided me along the way of knowing what was in and out of my quoted cost. I chose my counter tops from existing inventory at signature. Because i chose from existing stock Jason let me upgrade for free. My counter tops are beautiful and everyone who has seen my kitchen loves the Shanghai river granite.

As mentioned in the beginning of my review, i chose Signature mostly because they use their own employees and coordinate everything. If there was a blip along the way, Jason, Savannah and others made sure it was fixed quickly. Again, all i had to do was call Savannah and it was taken care of within 48 hours

The quality of the work was excellent. The tile in the bathroom and kitchen was clean and done with great care. There were a few minor fixes required but Signature quickly corrected the issue. The counter tops came out spectacular. Signature really tried to do their best to cut the granite in a way that the seams would not be visible. The granite tops I went with were unique with a lot of veins and character. Signature made sure they spent the time with me to map out how the counters would lie once installed.

I rated them 4 stars only because there were a few minor issues with the plumbing and paint but they corrected everything quickly. I would have chose 4.5 if allowed. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a company who can complete all aspects of a remodel and have employees who will are open and honest. I had Signature employees in and out of my home every day over 4 weeks and they were always respectful of my home and cleaned up each day after their work was completed. Having piece of mind that you do not have to worry about your valuables/property is something not every company can offer

The one piece of advice i have is to make sure you list everything you want to have completed in detail on the original quote. I had to modify the work list several times over the course of 3 weeks. Signature quotes by the job so to be fair for both Signature and yourself; make sure all items are captured on the original quote. Otherwise, any additional items to be added are quoted separately.

Both my wife and i are happy with the outcome and will use Signature for our next home improvement project in the future

Excellent and Dependable Home Remodeling

by Glenda Tiemann at Citysearch                           11/27/11

In October we contracted with Signature Home Improvements to remodel our master bathroom, removing a large garden tub and replacing it with a large tiled handi-capped accessable walk-in shower. We are extremely pleased with the finished product. We are also appreciative of the daily follow through and completion of the project in a timely matter. Approximately 4 years ago we also used Signature Home to remodel our kitchen to our complete satisfaction. We were happy to be a repeat customer and heartily recommend Signature Home!

Full Bath Remodel

by fultonbj at Citysearch            11/16/11

Full bath remodel, demo to studs, tub to shower conversion, custom cabinets, framless glass shower doors, bench and nitch inside shower, new faucets/grab bar/soap dish in shower, new sinks, faucets, granite countertop, plumbing, tile on floors, fully tiled to ceiling in shower, baseboards tiled, painted walls and ceiling, removed ceiling popcorn, electrical and lighting in shower and closet, mirrors, towel racks, etc. Had laundry room cabinets painted also.

Estimate about the same as other bidders, but SHI was going to do it in half the time, I hired them for that not knowing until the job was completed – on time – that they are excellent. They provide stress free high-quality work and are worth every penny. SHI runs like a well-oiled machine with impressive scheduling and a noticeably professional staff. I was kept informed daily of all upcoming work. I’m remodeling my home one room at a time and Signature Home Improvements is by far the best contractor I’ve ever worked with and who I will use in the future. Excellent job with no surprises, no delays and no cost over-runs.

Shower remodel

SHI remodeled our old shower into a beautiful walk in. he worked with us on the design and were very cooperative with issues we had and things we wanted done. They worked with us so we could use tile left from the original construction of the house. Final project exceeds our expectation.

Employees were professional and easy to work with.

We would highly recommend them for your project.

Wonderful Experience With Signature Home Improvements (SHI)

by rukastout at Citysearch                   10/24/11

We recently had a wonderful experience with our kitchen remodel by SHI. This was a process that we took a lot of time to research, and we are very pleased that we chose SHI to use for the remodel. The initial bid was for cabinets to be stained, custom cabinet around a new counter depth refridge, back splash, granite counter top, removal of florescent box kitchen light, 12 can lights in kitchen and living room with new wall dimmer switches, under-cabinet lighting, in ceiling surround sound speakers , and finally painting the kitchen and living room. After some more thinking we also re tiled the fireplace and replaced our floors (hardwood, carpet and tile). Basically a whole downstairs remodel.

We signed the papers in June 2011, but we did not want to start the work until Labor Day time. We spent the summer time picking out all the materials so when the work was to begin everything was ordered and there would be no material surprises. We took our time picking it all out, matching the granite to backsplash and cabinet colors etc. (This was much harder than we had anticipated. )

Prior to the first full work day we had a few people stop by for measurements and the electrician, Charles came to mark for placements of all the can lights (we have a 2 story house so it was not so easy). The demo group of employees; Amador, Humberto, Tara, Charles also came to check out what type of layout and work was to be done. Tara was early and came in and started working even before her peers arrived, you can tell this team works together well.

Once the demo was complete any sheet rock that needed repair was done and the new paint went all the walls (Amador, Humberto). When the cabinets were stained the scheduling of the staining was very mindful of our family, we did not want the fumes in the house over the weekend, so they waited until Monday to start the spray to make sure as few people were home as possible. SHI also made sure to bring many big fans and let us keep them for a few days to keep the fumes ventilated from the house.

The 2 people that spent the most time at the house were Martin and Lonny. The tile guys- they did a fabulous job! Martin had some great suggestions on laying our backsplash and did a stellar job. Both Martin and Lonny laid the floor (travertine brick pattern with minimal grout lines), this took about 5 days. They were both always early to arrive and were very courteous to work with, very often keys were left out for them to come in and work in the house without any concern.

The custom cabinet is beautiful, though we did have a few concerns with its finished dimensions. Every time our concerns were discussed and the issue was resolved ASAP. Ventura, Carlos, Armanzo, & Adam were great to work with for the cabinetry and took the time to add the hardware and make sure everything was right down to the last day. This brings up the communication level: I give SHI a A+ on communication, Savannah who works in the office was our point of contact, is wonderful to work with. We received a daily phone call from her on how the work progressed and who and what would be happing the next work day. E-mail was our main form of communication, often with status pictures. Be sure and request that Savannah handles your build!

Overall I would not hesitate to suggest SHI to my family or friends. Top class operation. Workers who know their trade. All items handled in house (ie no subcontractors to worry about), plus all the workers were very accountable for the job they did and the company stands by their work!! We are happy and our downstairs looks fabulous, we cannot wait to use them on another home project.

Beautiful New Kitchen!

by Janie24 at Citysearch               10/09/11

We recently moved into a house with a kitchen that dated from 1962 and definitely showed its age. Because the layout of the kitchen was great, we decided that refacing the cabinets would be the way to go. Jason helped us to make decisions as we chose the style and color of the cabinets, granite countertops, and tile backsplash. His team was great and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the result. We expected a better kitchen but instead wound up with a beautiful kitchen. In addition to the cabinets, countertops and backsplash, Jason’s crew replaced a window and a light fixture. All of the work was done quickly and efficiently. We would definitely hire Signature again if we had more work to be done.

Great Bathroom Remodel!

by mpwalker50 at Citysearch        09/23/11

Signature recently renovated both our master and guest bathrooms. We are VERY happy with the final product! Last year we had Signature remodel our kitchen and didn’t think twice to call Jason and his team back to work on our bathrooms. They worked with us to stay within budget and still get the majority of the work done that we wanted. I would highly recommend giving Signature a call if you are interested in doing any home kitchen or bath remodeling. The entire team is very professional!

Complete Kitchen Remodel

by redroundrock at Citysearch              09/16/11

I have nothing but great things to say about SHI.

I was looking for a company to manage my whole kitchen remodel from start to finish. I am a working Mom and don’t have time to project manage these things. I had all my cabinets replaced, granite counter tops, new sink and new back splash.

So many things to like!!!

The company – they are local and small. Everyone is professional and very experienced. Best of all, they are responsive and caring.

Project Mgmt – They have 3 people that project manage all their projects and they did a fabulous job coordinating all the different groups (electrician, cabinets, counters, plumber..etc.)

Design – LOVE IT! They have great experience in designing what I wanted. They had very good suggestions and listed to everything I wanted. I had last minute changes and they were able to execute without making me feel like I was putting them out. They were eager to please and do what I needed.

Employees – Everyone that came into my house was VERY professional and very experienced. They were all very respectful of me and my house and were VERY clean. When I came home each day, I never saw a mess, I was just delighted with the progress. They hire top notch employees.. OH.. YES they are employees! They don’t outsource!

I will use SHI for all home improvements going forward. I just wish there were more companies like this!

Love our bathroom!!

by Marla Hall at Citysearch       09/07/11

Signature Home Improvements provided and installed granite countertops for our master bathroom. They also installed two undermount sinks. Their staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional! My husband and I love our new bathroom! Thank you, SHI!

Kitchen Counters

by azeemahmad at Citysearch          09/02/11

We hired Signature Home to install granite in the kitchen.

We are pleased and happy with the work done and the professional behavior of the staff.

Jason, Linda, Tomas & Ventura are all very courteous and professional.

In the future if we need any other work in the house we know who to call.

I would highly recommend SHI to anyone who wants to do home improvements with minimum hassle and great work.

Wish them good luck in the business !

Family Room Cabinets

by vichall at Citysearch               08/17/11

Our complete kitchen remodel over the summer left us really wanting coordinating cabinetry in the adjoining family room. We returned to SHI to design and built 15 feet of custom cabinets and bookcases, with hidden wiring for AV equipment, glass shelves, cabinet lighting, and wine storage drawers. They also removed a ceiling fan/light fixture and installed recessed lighting, crown molding, ceiling speakers and other AV system wiring, switched the AV system electrical over to a circuit with little use, patched drywall and painted.

All the equipment is a perfect fit because it was designed that way. It looks and sounds amazing! Installation took longer than we expected, but the results were worth the wait.

Excellent

We have had Signature in our home twice, once for cabinet re-facing and now for granite.

We have been very pleased with the quality, workmanship and price both times.

Jason, Linda, Savannah, Armondo, and all the other people that we have had contact with are professional,

courteous and very eager to help with any request.

The Signature crew treated our home with respect and care.

They took extra effort to protect our floors and walls as they went about their tasks.

The crew left our home clean and greatly improved.

Great Job Signature

Thank you

I love my new kitchen!

by Vicki Demel at Citysearch      06/30/11

Signature Home Improvements just completed a kitchen remodel for me including cabinet staining, new flooring, new countertops, new backsplash, new lighting and even custom built and installed an island. I plan to use this company again in the future and would recommend them to anyone. The end result is beautiful and the entire process went smoother than I ever would have expected. Everyone that I dealt with was extremely courteous and accommodating and the work that was done was top quality. Although I was at work while most of the work was being done, I was kept informed of the progress daily and never once had to track anyone down to see what was going on. They also cleaned up every day so I didn’t have a mess to come home to. I am thoroughly amazed that I was able to end up with such a beautiful new kitchen without any hassle. I believe that anyone who chooses Signature will be every bit as happy with them as I am. Thank you Signature!!!

Excellent!!

by sijithganga at Citysearch                               06/13/11

Let me start by saying that Jason and crew did an excellent job with our counter tops. I felt that each employee was handpicked for their professionalism and courteousness. They were very patient and accommodating with our various requests and fulfilled each one of them. My wife’s pregnant and we wanted to get the work done when we were not home and they worked weekends to satisfy this. When we got back, it was a new kitchen!! They had done a good job cleaning up the place as well. I would definitely call them for our next project.

Very pleasant experience

by cindyprr at Citysearch                                    06/05/11

So far SHI has redone my kitchen and guest bathroom. My house was built in ’82 so being an older home, I was expecting some challenges with the remodel. There were a few, but the folks at SHI handled them with little or no effort. Everything went smoothly.

Everyone that came into my home was polite, professional and very conscientious. And they showed up on time! How refreshing is that? They worked with me on a plan that got me pretty much everything I wanted and that fit my budget. Throughout both projects, anything I wanted fixed, no matter how miniscule, they fixed, no questions asked.

I am definitely not a decorator and didn’t really know what I wanted. They asked some basic questions, we went over a few different layouts, but then they just handled it. And it came out beautifully! I could not be more pleased. I am planning on having them redo my master bath within the next month or so and I cannot wait! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is wanting a new look in their home.

Excellent Experience!

We LOVE Signature Home Improvements!

My husband and I bought a 36 year old condo in Lakeway with a less than functional kitchen-no counter space, and what was there was not so appealing to the eye, no backsplash, outdated fixtures and so on. Signature Home Improvements did a FANTASTIC job giving out kitchen a beautiful face-lift without breaking the bank. They were challenged by the walls and floors not being level and they just took it in stride. I would highly recommended them to anyone! Our Realtor was extremely impressed with the renovation and so were we. We look forward to using them for additional home improvements in the near future!

Completely Satisfied Pflugerville remodel

by Mark Boone at Citysearch                          05/27/11

My wife and I highly recommend Signature Home improvement for your kitchen and bath remodel.

We had the great fortune of being referred to Signature by some friends of ours. From our very first visit, we were impressed with each and every employee and their fabrication facility.

If you’re interested in a top-tier remodel, this is the contractor for you! Their complete attention to detail is remarkable. During our remodel, their follow up was fantastic. They left the job site clean every day and received daily phone call status updates.

We now have the kitchen and hall bath we’ve always dreamed of! As soon as possible, we would like to have our master bath done too. There is no question that we will call Signature to do the work.

We are firm believers that you get what you pay for. Signature is worth every penny!

Fantastic kitchen cabinet tinting

by OutinLeander at Citysearch                        05/20/11

Signature Home Improvement did a fantastic job tinting out 16 year old kitchen cabinets. As many homes with older kitchen cabinets, the cabinets were looking their age. The area around the sink varnish was flaking and the stain was gone. The rest of the cabinets just looked dull. I saw a Signature advertisement in the Elegant living magazine. It mentioned that Signature did cabinet tinting. Our cabinets were all wood and in very good shape so there was no reason to replace them. We also had Silestone counter tops that we wanted to keep. I sent Signature an e-mail to find out what cabinet tinting was. Signature scheduled a time for Jason to drop by and look at the cabinets and explain the process. It was just what we were looking for. Signature kept us informed every step of the way. The office staff would call with information on the project or to let us know when staff needed access to the house. Every Signature employee that worked in the house was professional and curtious. Everyone that worked on our cabinets at the Signature facility and in our house did a fantastic job. The project was completed in two weeks. After the tinting was completed, the doors and drawers installed, and the new hardware added, all we could say was “Wow!”. The cabinets look brand new. We highly recommend Signature Home Improvement.

A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE!

by judy dibble at Citysearch                        05/16/11

Signature Home Improvements performs the most outstanding work I have ever seen in home remodeling. Not only are all of their employees perfectionists and highly skilled in their particular area, but they are speedy in performing every task. Last month (April) they completed a TOTAL (floor to ceiling) remodel of my kitchen in just TWO WEEKS!! There were a few “tweaks” after the two weeks, but the kitchen was essentially completely finished in two weeks. Every afternoon I would get a call from one of the highly efficient and organized office employees that would tell me who was coming the next morning and what they would be doing. They would always arrive on time. One of the biggest advantages to using SHI is the fact that they don’t use sub-contractors. Jason Flippo, the company president, has 20 employees who are accountable to him so they are extremely responsible and professional. Jason goes out of his way to accommodate the homeowner. When we were selecting granite, he took a few minutes away from his company Christmas party to meet us at the granite store. His kitchen designer, Armanzo, offered fantastic ideas to make my kitchen the most functional and user-friendly that it could possibly be. When the job was finished Armanzo pulled on every hinge and examined the entire kitchen (almost with a magnifying glass!) to be sure everything was perfect. He put “blue tape” in areas that looked just fine to me…..but he had to be totally pleased. I actually plan to carry Signature Home Improvement business cards in my purse so I can hand them out whenever I meet someone who wants a kitchen or bathroom remodel. I have never been this enthusiastic about any other business! It seems that so many people who use other contractors have nightmare stories about the quality and/or the fact that the remodel takes much longer than anticipated. Jason’s crew does not start the remodel until “all their ducks are in a row”. My painted cabinets (soft sage with glaze and beadboard style) were totally finished before the demo started. Each stage of the remodel was perfectly timed. Bottom line: If you want the very best work–ultimate quality at a reasonable cost–Signature Home. Improvements is your company! My husband will be adding photos of my kitchen to these comments soon. I will be happy to show “before” photos and I think my kitchen should be featured on HGTV!

an excellent company

by GinaCope at Citysearch                              05/12/11

This was a complete transformation of our kitchen, requiring a total demolition of the existing kitchen to make room for new flooring, cabinets, some plumbing and electrical work, and new appliances. Fur-downs that were above the old cabinets were removed requiring wiring to be re-routed to correct original builder shortcuts. We brought in a line for a new gas cooktop (replacing electical). SHI installed new travertine flooring in a Versailles pattern, and we ran this flooring into the dining room and down a hallway past the main entrance to the house. SHI also built and installed custom maple cabinets stained in a color that was custom formulated to match tones in our granite. They cut and installed granite countertops and a travertine backsplash was added above the granite in a brick pattern. SHI also installed 2 new sinks (kitchen & laundry room) and associated plumbing and added a small fixed window between two glass-door cabinets above what is now our beverage center. Finally, SHI added an architectural feature of arches with three columns above the counters that separate the kitchen from the great room. SHI started when they said they would, they held to the schedule they predicted, their workers arrived at the times we were told, got right to work and stayed with it throughout the day. They estimated six weeks; it took about seven but most of that extra week was caused by delays waiting for permits and inspections from the city. The quality of workmanship is excellent. They were always professional and respectful of the fact that we had to live right in the middle of the destruction that this remodel required. All the work was done by craftsmen employed directly by SHI. The only outside contractors that were involved were the gas plumbing and installation of the glass in the three cabinet doors. This was in large part a deciding factor in choosing them and it proved to be of inestimable benefit when issues arose with coordination of specialties and last minute changes. It allowed for a sense of security that if there was a problem it would be taken care of. SHI was not the cheapest of all our bids (we had several) but we felt that having all the workmen employed by the main contractor would be a great advantage and, in the end, we feel this proved to be a great advantage and did enhance the quality of our experience with this project, which was our very first experience with home remodeling. Finally, a bit about working with Jason Flippo, founder of SHI. Once the work began Jason’s day-to-day involvement in our progress became less visible but he was always available, gave us his personal cell phone number, and welcomed our call any time we had a question. He followed up with us frequently to insure we were satisfied, sometimes even on the weekend, asking if we had any concerns, and generally stayed up to date on our level of satisfaction about the work and the performance of all his workers. In addition, on occasions when we had issues about cost, design, approach – anything we were concerned about – he showed sincere interest in resolving our concerns to our satisfaction. Overall, we’re very pleased with SHI and we will use them again when the time comes. We can highly recommend Signature Home Improvements for a kitchen remodel. They were not the cheapest but we feel that in the end, they provided the best value for the money and we are delighted with the results. We love our new kitchen.

Signature did a full kitchen remodel that included removing a wall separating my kitchen from the dining room. They removed the existing cabinets, removed the furdowns where the cabinets were attached, and removed the flooring in the dining room, kitchen, utility room, and entry way. Armando helped us design the cabinets and island. He did a CAD drawing that really helped see the room at every angle. It was incredibly accurate to the finished product. They installed the new cabinets, island, flooring, electrical, plumbing, lights, granite counter tops, and back splash. They patched the drywall and painted the walls, ceiling and baseboards. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them without hesitation. They were trustworthy and reliable.

Our existing kitchen was crowded and poorly designed. I have 3 kids and we couldn’t move around without bumping into each other because the walkways were so narrow. I knew from the beginning, I wanted the wall removed that separated the kitchen and dining room. I knew how I wanted the kitchen to be layed out and I wanted an island. I got 3 bids and decided to go with Signature. I called some references and got positive feedback and I also liked the fact that Signature did the work themselves with minimal contracting out. The whole process dealing with Signature was a positive one from start to finish. They communicated with us every day to tell us who was coming out and what was being done and at the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves. The whole job was finished in 3 weeks. We had only minor changes to the original contract. We decided to go with Cherry wood and needed additional lighting. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. This being my first remodeling experience, I am so glad I chose Signature and we love our new kitchen!

impecable work/honest people

I am not one to write reviews….but being a single person who has never ventured into the world of home improvements I felt it important to share my incredible experience with Signature Home Improvements. I am very concerned about being taken advantage of when dealing in areas that I am not that educated in. However, the first time i met with Jason I knew right away that he would take care of me and all of concerns and do it honestly as if I was family. I had my complete kitchen re-done. From re-tinting of the cabinets, new backsplash, and granite countertops. Not only was it done QUICKLY..but everything that was promised to me from the beginning to end was done BEYOND my expectations. Not only that, but I changed my mind on a final detail at the last moment and Linda in the office RAN ALL OVER TOWN(literally) to get the final touch to my tile. To say my kitchen is beautiful would be a understatement. That is coming from a person who is beyond critical!! It is stunning…and everyone who came into my house gave me a warm, good feeling. Linda and Savannah in the office were constantly in touch with me and me feel comfortable the whole way through. if you are even considering doing any type of home imporvements. Do NOT hesitate to give signature a call!! In fact I am starting a few other projects with them already!!

Extremely Satisfied Customer

by EKing at Citysearch                                          02/15/11

In December I contacted SHI as I wanted to change the look of my (14 year old) golden oak kitchen cabinets. They recommended their re-tint process, which was much less expensive than replacing the cabinets. Throughout the work the team was very professional. The results are amazing! My new “cafe” cabinets with added hardware has completely changed the look of my kitchen. I will be coming back to them to update my bathrooms.

World Class Company

by pearson31 at Citysearch                           01/05/11

In the summer of 2010 we had the good fortune of selecting Signature Home Improvement to remodel our kitchen. This company is amazing. Each member of the Signature Home Improvement team is a consummate professional. It was clear from the beginning that they would not be satisfied until we were satisfied. The result was a beautifully remodeled space and a total project experience that far exceeded our expectations. We could not be more pleased.

My wife and I have never dealt with a remolding company (and there have been many) that comes close to the professionalism, quality of work, attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction that is the hallmark of Signature Home Improvement. We recommend them without reservation.

bathroom remodel

by sophie3 at Citysearch                          07/12/10

They were recommended by friends and were everything they said.—- Professional, skilled, pleasant people. They all come with names, introduce themselves, and become part of the family while they are on site. A most pleasant experience compared to the usual building rangling.

The bathrooms were an upgrade/update. A green cast iron tub was removed from downstairs and replaced with tile surround soaking tub and tile floor. The upstairs cast iron tub had to be sledge hammered to be able to get it down the stairs and out. Up now has all tile walkin shower and tile floor. We are very pleased.

Signature Home Improvement did a complete remodel on our master bathroom. The first step was to completely demo and remove the existing toilet room, shower, whirlpool tub, lighting, wallpaper, carpet, cabinets and all plumbing. The size of the toilet room was then expanded 16 inches in length and a 32″ pocket door installed. The old toilet was replaced with a new 18″ version, new hardware installed and a knotty elder cabinet was placed above the toilet. The new shower was extended to include the are of the prior tub; a 48″ wall was built, tiled, covered with granite and then 36′ of glass extended toward the ceiling. The shower includes a bench and two separate theromstat controlled heads; one standard and one wand adjacent to the bench. Two large knotty elder vanities were installed and covered with granite; all new lighting installed; custom mirrors installed; existing floor covered with tile. Lostello accent tiles highlight the shower and door entry.
Member Comments:
Signature did a superb job from start to finish. Prior to beginning the project they prepared, and subsequently adjusted, a number of CAD drawings until my wife and I were satisfied with the design. The company’s foreman personally assisted with the demo which was accomplished in one day. They used high speed fans to cut down on the dust, covered all of our furniture and floors with protective paper and plastic, and were very neat. Throughout the remodel, both the foreman and company management made at least weekly visits to our house to discuss status with us and make adjustments as necessary. All of their trades personnel….electirician, tile, plumbing, carpentry, painter, etc were first-class. Very professional and attention to detail oriented. They even volunteered to hang pictures for my wife when the remodel was complete. The contract estimated that they would be complete in 6-8 weeks; they were right on time. As prior military folks with very high standards and expectations, we are totally satisfied with every single aspect of this remodel. Signature Home Improvement is absolutely a customer-focused business that goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction every step of the project.

Description Of Work:
We did a complete remodel of our 12 year old master bathroom. Marble shower was replaced with travertine tile of different sizes with granite accents and glass seamless shower surround, the area around the tub was tiled with travertine, the marble sink countertops were replaced with granite, and the sinks were replaced from overmount to undermount sinks (Signature had refaced our bathroom cabinets last year) All plumbing, clean-up, gutting, and touch ups were performed by Signature. We chose Signature because of our past experiences with them when we changed our kitchen countertops with granite and tiled the backsplash. With those jobs and this job, Signature was COMPLETELY professional. We knew what was going to happen when at every step of the way. Their employees were all very professional and trustworthy (we would leave our house key with them if we had to go somewhere) not to mention extremely skilled at their job. This was especially the case with our tiler. He made recommendations on design, what would look good in his experience and what would work. In one area of our tub tiling, there was a very awkward space that he had to tile. He did it and it looks terrific. Signature answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. We have no regrets and will certainly use them again in the future.
Member Comments:
We met with the owner, Jason Flippo, who told us what they were able to do for us. After taking measurements on a Friday, he sent us an estimate the following weekend. When the price was not something we wanted to spend, we discussed ways to reduce the cost to what would be good to us and Signature without sacrificing the look and the quality of the job. We went to the tiling company to pick our tile and discuss design. Once agreed, the employees came and laid down cardboard on our wood floors so that there would not be any chance of damage (they succeeded). Then employees came and went completing the appropriate phase of the job without any delay. After the entire job was finished, they cleaned up their mess and discarded all of their trash appropriately. All touch-ups were done for a terrific final look. We love our new bathroom…it now looks like the bathrooms at the 5 star hotels!

Jason and his team had completed a remodel of our kitchen earlier in the year and we were very pleased with the work. We discovered a leak coming through the ceiling to the first floor from the second floor bathroom. We contacted Jason to determine what the problem was and decided to remodel since the floor had to torn up to determine the cause of the leak. I had a special wainscoting design feature that I had seen in a magazine that I wanted to use and they recreated that design. Repairing the ceiling and installing lighting took far more effort than originally expected due to the direction of the joists but they did a great job with the entire ceiling.

Jason and his team at Signature Home Improvement gutted and renovated my kitchen, including everything from structural work on doorways to fine cabinet details. Signature Home Improvement removed old cabinets and helped me set them out for Habitat for Humanity to reuse. They then laid a straight sub-floor for tiling, changed and updated electrical outlets and lighting, installed all-wood cabinets, installed granite counter-tops, laid tile for floor and backsplash, and painted from floor to ceiling.
Member Comments:
They were able to complete the entire job in about 30 calendar days. All workers are employees of Signature Home Improvement, and all were courteous and professional. They cleaned up pretty well at the end of each day, and were consistently open to my ideas and suggestions, most of which were included in the original estimate. The workers were excellent craftsmen in their fields. The kitchen designer was extremely helpful from the beginning in generating ideas for design, to being on-site almost every day, to providing last minute touch-up work on the final day. The master tiler had 17 years of experience and was open in sharing his knowledge. The granite cutter was polite and skilled. All carpenters on site were quick but meticulous. The master painter was neat, punctual, and amazingly efficient. The electrician was open and available to last-minute ideas. The ladies in the office called in regularly and actually came on site to see progress. Jason showed flexibility when questions arose. I really maintained the feeling that Signature Home Improvement was dedicated to my satisfaction to the job.

They started right before Thanksgiving and were finished by Christmas Eve (as promised). The workers were all Signature employees (no subcontracting). They were professional and did excellent work. The only complication we had was that they gave us a different cabinet door style from what we wanted. They apologized and gave us a small discount. We are definitely pleased with the final product.

Used Angie’s List to locate companies. Contacted 7, only 4 responded & actually visited our home to survey the job. Signature was the ONLY one to respond with an estimate. Signature does not rely on subcontractors to complete the work. All workers are Signature employees which made the job progress quickly & efficiently. No horror stories that can be common with this type of remodel. The entire staff is polite, very skilled and professional. HIRE THIS COMPANY!

We shared with Jason what we wanted to accomplish and our desire to stay within a $25,000 budget. He provided us with a quote a few days later that was within our budget. After signing on, the cabinet designer met with my husband and I to detail out the specific design. Signature did a good job providing us with a custom look while being mindful of our budget. The additional $5000 cost was due to our selection of a higher grade of granite and more expensive tile back splash than originally budgeted. Signature employees were always punctual and professional, and clearly made our satisfaction with the final product their highest priority. I would definitely recommend them. The Signature office did an excellent job of communicating with me on a regular basis to make sure I understood what the next steps were and what they needed me to do to help move the process forward quickly. The entire job was completed in approximately 3 weeks and they worked around my existing appliances so that I wouldn’t be without a kitchen for long.

We were very impressed with the work that was done in our home. Jason Flippo quoted 8 weeks and the job was completed in that time frame. All of the employees that worked on our job were professional and pleasant to work with. The demo was completed in one day including the removal of the satillo tile floor. The office staff always called and asked us if we had any concerns and let us know when and who would be coming the following day to work. The employees were punctual, hard working and cleaned up after each days work. All of the employees did a great job. We really appreciated the work Armanzo did to help us with our design and we trusted his advice and judgement. Bernie and Oscar did a beautiful job on the floor and the backsplash. We really appreciate the extra time and effort that Bernie put in on the tile work. He is an artist! Sean was great in helping to open things up everywhere possible during the framing. He did a beautiful job creating the two arches in the kitchen and helped work out electrical details. Thank you to everyone for a great job.

Description Of Work:
Granite counters, refacing cabinets, custom cabinets, plumbing, electrical for undercabinet lights, customizing for wine refrigerator, new baseboards, crown molding, installation of cooktop, installation of sink/faucet, hardware, backsplash that was complicated with each piece having to be hand placed in order to get the small tiles aligned.
Member Comments:
They were very eager to start, prompt, courteous, professional. The entire project went more smoothly than I had anticipated. When we realized that the space set aside for the wine refrigerator wouldn’t allow for the door to open correctly, they customized it on site and switched the cabinet around to get it to fit correctly. It was our mistake that caused the issue and they resolved it immediately which was amazing! When the tiles I had selected proved to be very difficult to install, Bernie, the installer, worked diligently (for about 10 hours) laying each piece by hand…it was way more difficult than we had thought and it came out BEAUTIFULLY! Every day when they finished, they cleaned up the kitchen as best as possible. They took such caution of our hardwood floors and laid covering to not scratch them. When they asked us to tag anything and everything that may need to be touched up-there was nothing left to tag as they had already fixed it themselves!
I cannot recommend them enough. In fact, our friends are using them and we are using them for a bathroom remodel. Jason and his team will always be who we use for our remodel projects…and there are more to come!

Description Of Work:
We moved out of our home of 30+ years for 3 months in order to completely gut and rennovate the entire 1500 sq. ft. interior; with the exception of one door, tub and the doorbell. This remodel job included a new kitchen (custom cabinets, recessed lighting, under cabinet lightening, granite countertop, pull out pantry, travertine back splash and porcelin floors, large pull outdrawers, roll out shelves in blind space, and a wine rack, large prep pennisula), two new and updated bathrooms (custom vanity cabinets, tile floors, showerscomplete with cermanic tile with deco inserts, air vents), painting included scraping the popcorn off the ceiling and retexture the ceiling and all walls, new solid wood teak floors, new crown modeling in entire house, new base boards in entire house, and a new mantel designed to match our kitchen cabinets over the fireplace.

We were very impressed with how professional all of the SHI staff was during our remodel job, not to mention courteous and friendly. It appears, each staff member directly employed by SHI may be a graduate of a “Knock Your Socks Off Customer Service” Course! It was very refreshing to have a contractor and/or his staff return our phone calls and e-mails in less than 24 hours, and in some cases, within minutes.
With a remodel job this extensive we elected to move out of our home to allow the contractor 24/7 access to our home, and avoid living in chaos. SHI was very accommodating and even paid to have all of our belongings moved out of the house into a POD in our driveway and any overflow into the garage. (They also paid to have us move back in once the job was finished)! Since we were not living on sight, Jason agreed to weekly meetings to review deliverables and any outstanding issues or concerns we had on how the project was progressing. These scheduled meetings worked well for us and helped to keep us to track progress and ensure we were receiving everything we had agreed to in our contract. The first step in working with SHI was choosing our granite for our kitchen countertop. Next, we signed our contract and an appointment was scheduled with Armonzo, their talented design staff, to put our kitchen and bathroom vanity cabinet ideas on paper and incorporate measurements to accommodate my wife’s weak back. After putting our design on paper, we were asked to make an appointment with Christine at ProSource to choose our tile and flooring; with her assistance the colors and design we choose actually made the designs on paper “pop!”. After the popcorn was scrapped off the ceiling, the master bedroom ceiling need extra work, so SHI paid to have the ceiling have new sheetrock and installation put in. The paint job and crown molding had some slight issues with bare spots, and when brought to Signature’s attention, they quickly reponsed to our requests and sent staff to repaint or recaulk to ensure our complete satisfaction. When the cabinets and vanity arrived and installed they looked exactly like the drawings but the quality far exceed what we could have ever imagined on paper. SHI even added free of cost to us detailed enhancements of rope modeling to the kitchen crown modeling, and a decorative onlay and furniture feet in the Master vanity. One ktichen cabinet utilizing dead space in a corner didn’t allow for storage of a large antique punch bowl as originally planned. Within hours of having realizing this mishap, Armonzo quickly went to the office to work on finding a solution that greatly exceeded our expectations. We are really enjoying our bathroom too with their unique tile installed by Bernie so much that we think we are in a Kohler commercial on vacation visiting a resort hotel. Thanks again, Jason, Mimi, Patricia, Ruth, Armonzo, Bernie, Douglas, Robert, Wes, and Amador for everthing and all you did to work with us!

They gutted and redesigned my kitchen, replaced all the flooring in my house, removed the popcorn ceiling in every room, and painted the entire house. Tile and hardwood floors were put in.
Member Comments:
In terms of the kitchen redo all went well. They are known for cleaning up every day and that happened except for the painting portion of my job. The popcorn ceilings were removed and the painter forced me to move out of my house for a week. The painter was however a sub contractor; he no longer works for the company. So Jason resolve the issue and it should not happen again.

This job was a complete gut and redo of my kitchen as well as changes to a small powder room adjacent to the laundry room. The job included removing a drop ceiling, new custom cabinets, new flooring, lights and backsplash tiling. Some minor plumbing and electrical was included in this job.
Member Comments:
The job start date was provided well in advance. prior to demolition all the critcial decisions about cabinets, appliance placement and lighting fixtures were resolved. This allowed for speedy progess with the actual job. Demoliton was completed in one day. What really impressed was the attention to detail when the plumbing, wiring and sheet rocking was done. The ceiling and walls were prepped well for painting later. The workers were very conscientious and easy to communicate with. The custom cabinets were well made and exactly as expected. The tiling was well done, the floor laid in a brick pattern. The backsplash had many different elements but came really beautifully. We used a granite called Red Dragon (their suggestion) and i have received many compliments on it. We originally planned to use silestone and this has been so much better. We used black granite for the lavatory sink. As with all projects there were occasional misunderstandings or breakdowns but the owner and his staff do a marvelous job of working with you to resolve them. I travel in my job so I gave them free access to the house. Have not had any reason to regret the decision. Everyone is very honest and trustworthy. The entire job was completed in just over a month. The staff knew this remodel was based on a plan developed by my wife before she passed away. They stayed true to that vision yet made suggestions that kept costs under control. I really am very pleased with Signature Home Improvement and do recommend them for projects.

REVIEWS FROM CITYSEARCH

Spectacular results

by ATXReviewer at Citysearch   01/02/10

We wanted to find an economical way of redoing our kitchen cabinets. After failing at our manual efforts and searching various solutions, SHI’s proposal sounded best to not only fit our budget, but beautify our kitchen as desired. The results were incredible! We couldn’t be more pleased with the way the kitchen came out. They even had to do little repairs on some drawers as a result of age/damage to ensure they deliver the results we wanted. Definitely recommended.

  • Pros: Color matching, install time, quality of work

Work performance above standards

by stublar at Citysearch  12/10/09

Signature Homes demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the technical phases of home improvement. The staff provided us with up-to-date status of work being performed. They updated our kitchen in Feb 09 and their excellent managerial ability inspired us to have them design and install custom china cabinetry with 3 halogen interior style lights, crown molding, glass shelves and glass doors in the dining room. Upper and lower cabinets had angled shelving on each end .The base cabinet had a granite top with mirror back splash and 2 electrical outlets. We were pleased that no subcontractors were used. They went above and beyond other contractors that we talked with. The performance of the entire staff is marked by steadfast dedication and devotion to their customers.
